Terms of use
By using Renolume you accept the terms below. They exist mainly to be clear about what an estimate is and is not.
Estimates are planning tools
Renolume produces modelled cost ranges, scope lists and timelines for planning purposes. They are not quotes, bids, contracts, appraisals, insurance valuations, engineering advice or statements of permit requirements. No figure on this site is an offer to perform work.
Verify before you commit
Actual costs depend on site conditions, local code, contractor availability and material pricing at the time of purchase. Always verify scope, code compliance and pricing with licensed local professionals before committing funds or beginning work.
Safety and DIY guidance
Where Renolume indicates that a task may be homeowner-doable, this is a general observation about typical skill and tooling requirements, not an assessment of your circumstances. Roofing, structural, electrical and gas work carry serious risk and are regulated in most jurisdictions.
Acceptable use
- Do not attempt to disrupt, overload or reverse-engineer the service.
- Do not scrape or bulk-extract estimates or underlying data for redistribution.
- Do not present Renolume output to consumers as if it were your own professional quote.
Intellectual property
The Renolume name, brand, interface, task libraries, rule definitions and modelling methodology are owned by Renolume. Estimates you generate are yours to use for your own project, including sharing them with contractors.
Liability
The service is provided on an "as is" basis without warranties of accuracy or fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Renolume is not liable for losses arising from decisions made in reliance on an estimate.
Changes
Renolume may update the model, the data behind it and these terms. Continued use after publication of revised terms constitutes acceptance.
